Have you ever looked at the world around you and thought… Why are things the way they are? Or even, What if they could be different? Sometimes, life’s biggest mysteries are right under our noses, just waiting for someone to ask the right question. In The Questions Nobody Asks: Where Do You Go From Here?, Robert Mills does just that, leading us through 36 fascinating “what ifs” and perspectives that made me think in completely new ways—and I absolutely loved it!

Mills takes you on an adventure through big questions about the universe, life, and even those things we often ignore. From what it might be like to look inside dark matter, to imagining if we could extend human life, he doesn’t shy away from the big, mind-bending ideas. I found myself getting pulled in by his questions about space and science, and especially his reflections on why life sometimes feels so challenging. It felt like each page opened a new door of curiosity, and I couldn’t help but keep wondering even after I’d put the book down.

One of my favorite things about The Questions Nobody Asks is that it’s not just about finding answers—it’s about starting a conversation, whether with yourself or others. Mills writes in a way that’s super accessible, so even the heavier topics feel approachable. And at the end of each chapter, there’s a bibliography with further reading if a topic really captures you, which I found so helpful. It’s like having a little treasure trove of books to explore once the curiosity bug bites.

If you’re someone who loves discovering new perspectives and thinking a little deeper, The Questions Nobody Asks is the perfect addition to your bookshelf. It’s engaging, thoughtful, and sometimes even a bit humorous, making those “big questions” feel like a fun journey. Personally, I felt like I was having a deep chat with a wise friend who doesn’t shy away from the wild “what ifs” of life. I’m so glad I picked it up—it’s one of those reads that sticks with you, leaving you with a few more questions of your own!
